The Challenge with Traditional Closet Flanges:

A typical Closet Flange comes with a painted steel mounting ring, designed to securely attach the Flange and its accompanying plumbing to the floor. This ring provides a robust, leak-proof foundation for toilets. In new or recently remodeled homes, this ring can serve efficiently for many years. However, over an extended period, the steel ring is prone to rusting and losing its strength. As a result, toilets may become unstable or even leak, potentially damaging wooden floors to the point of necessitating replacements.

Traditionally, when such rusting occurred, it meant a significant inconvenience. The entire Flange assembly would often need to be removed, sometimes damaging the connected drain line. Moreover, floor sections around the rusted area might also need cutting, making way for Flange and pipe replacements. This process was not only cumbersome but also costly, all due to a deteriorating thin piece of steel.

Introducing THE CLAM:

Thanks to a seasoned plumber with over four decades of hands-on experience, we proudly present an innovative solution: THE CLAM. Crafted as a two-piece replacement Flange Ring, THE CLAM is made from rust-resistant 409 Stainless Steel, offering durability and longevity. Its design mirrors the steel rings commonly found in most Toilet Flanges, with an inner lip tailored to fit snugly inside the groove of most PVC or ABS Plastic Toilet Flanges. If your floor is still in good shape, there's no need for replacements. Simply swap out the old rusted ring for THE CLAM.

With THE CLAM in place, toilets can be reinstalled safely and securely. Given its Stainless Steel make, THE CLAM, when properly set on a solid base, proves even stronger than the original Steel Ring. This means homeowners can enjoy significant cost savings, and plumbing contractors can complete their tasks more efficiently. What could have been an all-day task is now reduced to just an hour or two!
